About Me

Hi! I'm Ádám Lakatos, first from the right in this picture taken at a good friend's "tejfakasztó", a Hungarian tradition where the happy new father drinks with his friends while the mom is in the hospital with the new-born. I grew up in Budapest, Hungary where I competed at math competitions in high-school. I later did an Economics degree at the University of Cambridge and a Master's degree at University College London in Energy Systems and Data Science.
My undergraduate dissertation was an analysis into the price adjustment process in housing markets. You can download it here: undergraduate dissertation.
I also wrote a baby thesis in my second year at Cambridge, which found that the leading contributor to reductions in life expectancy in OECD countries was obesity. You can download it here: second year project.
At UCL, I wrote my master's thesis on multi-market bidding strategies for grid-scale battery storage systems. You can download it here: master's thesis
I had previously been a Product Development Analyst at Alteo in Budapest, a leading flexibility provider and renewable asset management company. Since September 2025, I have been advising Bravogroup, also in Budapest, on go-to-market strategies (trading strategy analysis & tolling agreement origination) for co-located grid-scale battery storage systems.
