News Briefing

Hungarian elections are held on 12 April 2026 and in the final weeks of the campaign there are major stories breaking almost daily. It's both somehow a civic urge and an intellectual challenge to understand these and make some inferences, but sourcing the news from Facebook and Reddit – which are otherwise solid aggregators – runs the risk of gradually being sucked in to a low-signal, high-emotion information tsunami. 

The app highlights the top 10 posts in r/hungary for the past day, or week. 

I set up a similar system for my other interests and I don't open reddit anymore because things that don't make it into this list likely aren't worth the attention, and the psychological effect of these social sites is otherwise unpleasant. 

The app tracks time spent on it, and only becomes available at 6PM.
